A few months ago, I had the pleasure of joining the podcast 2 Complicated 4 History to explore themes from my book that I hadn’t discussed in depth before. It was a fantastic conversation, and I’m looking forward to returning in the near future to talk about my second book, Greek Women of the Ancient…
“Writing is the painting of the voice.” – Voltaire Few statements ring truer for me. Many things greet me each morning: my family, the sunshine, and those first few sips of coffee. But another constant is the blank page waiting patiently, the canvas for my voice. With my second manuscript now submitted and moving toward…
Knoxville Book Festival day 2 is a wrap and it was a blast! I had a great time contributing to the History panel! I met some great fellow authors this weekend as well. And I got to spend the day with THE wingman and biggest supporter of everything I do, my husband Ben 😊📚

Welcome to 2026, my friends! New Years has always fascinated me. So many embark on the uncharted terrain that reveals itself in the early days of January, expecting to be a “new” or “better” version of themselves than they were the last 365 days. However, as I press forward into the new year, I realize…

Happy Women’s History month! I have numerous subjects and topics to explore in the near future, and I have chosen to focus on important female writers in history as the beginning. Stay tuned for my newest soon-to-be published article about the Brontë sisters!
Hello and happy weekend! I am pleased to announce that not only have I been added as a writer to the history forum, Frame of Reference, they have published my new article, “We Are Three Sisters.” The legacy of Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë! The Brontë sisters were true trailblazers for women in literature history. All three successfully published books in 1847 under male pseudonyms, however later they revealed their identities with Charlotte’s bold declaration, “We three are sisters.” You can find the link to my article below.
I chose the Brontë sisters as my first topic due to their historical significance of course, but also due to the fantastic discussions I’ve had with my sister, Kylie in recent months. We recently began our own book club together, choosing the works of the Brontë sisters as our first assignments. As a result of our discussions, I became fascinated by the history of the Brontë sisters and knew their history was a story worth telling. I hope you enjoy reading about these amazing women!
Hello All! My new article featuring one of my all-time favorite authors is published! Haper Lee is the author of my favorite novel, To Kill a Mockingbird (1960). It was an overnight success and remains one of the most recognized novels in literature history. Lee highlighted many topics that continue to inspire passionate discussions both inside and outside the contemporary classroom. Enjoy!
Hello, All! Anyone who is a fan of crime and mystery is well-acquainted with the name of Agatha Christie. She has sold more novels in literary history than any other female in history. She is outsold only by the bible and William Shakespeare. Her imagination and creativity are truly one of a kind. Check out my latest article below about the one and only Queen of Crime- Dame Agatha Christie.
